Questions with Janet

Question...
I’ve heard that your wipes don’t contain parabens and that parabens are bad for you. Please tell me why they’re dangerous and why I should care?
Janet...
That’s a very good question. With so much information and misinformation floating around the web about the dangers of parabens, I’m not surprised you want clarification. First of all, parabens are preservatives used mostly in beauty products – listed as methyl-, ethyl-, propyl-, and butylparaben.
Since so many scientific studies reveal evidence of a potential health risk associated with parabens, we at Jamar Labs believe that whenever possible avoiding parabens is a very good idea, especially for those little new members of our family. Life is too complicated as it is without additional concerns. Our motto is to keep it simple and safe.
Let me explain. The scientific reports we have researched state that parabens have the ability to mimic estrogen in our bodies and may even cause allergic reactions. Most parabens are absorbed through the skin and can be especially harmful to pregnant women. As with any research, there are counter claims, however our concern at at Jamar Labs is to limit exposure to these man-made chemicals. We believe in helping our families to prevent undesirable health problems and ward off potential disease. That’s why we love our wipes. Not only do they get the job done, but they are fun and easy to use, and we can be confident they contain no potential health problems.
